Our Story

We want businesses, economies and communities everywhere to grow and thrive. That’s why we do what we do. Because we’ve witnessed first-hand the power of strategic public-private partnerships to transform cities and the lives of their residents.

As directors at Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), we recognized that sharing the proposed economic benefits of airport modernization with local businesses and workers would stimulate not only the local economy, but community support and engagement, as well. So we instituted a transparent, integrative template for local business inclusion, economic and workforce development: one that is still benefiting Los Angeles stakeholders today.

Realizing we could achieve similar results in other cities, we founded SCA Strategic to bring this synergistic approach to governments, emerging businesses, community groups and individuals across the U.S., tailoring it to arenas ranging from international trade to transportation, retail to public works. And we’re only just getting started.

Our Experience

With nearly 60 years of collective experience in government, international trade and the private sector, we’ve been at the epicenter of some of the most complex capital improvement projects in Los Angeles, one of the most diverse and dynamic cities in the world. We have built long-standing relationships with local, national and ethnic business communities, chambers of commerce, and community and faith-based organizations. We have created harmony where there was discord through openness, accountability and meaningful stakeholder engagement. And we have delivered shared economic benefits that positively changed the socio-economic dynamics of Los Angeles. Our specific expertise ranges from business development, business inclusion and workforce development, to finance and international trade. Our network spans across sectors, industries and borders. And our track record speaks for itself:
